Postpartum support
“You are worth the quiet moment. You are worth the deeper breaths and you are worth the time it takes to slow down, be still, and rest.”
Morgan Harper Nichols
This offering is for you if...
- You’ve just given birth, or you’re about to, and your family lives far away, in another province or even another country.
- You do have family or in-laws nearby, but you’re wondering whether they’ll be able to be there for you in the way you truly need.
- You’re navigating early motherhood in a country and healthcare system that are new to you.
- Your partner had to return to work within days or weeks after the birth, and the two of you are finding your new rhythm without a real village around you.
- This is your second, third, fourth (or even fifth!) baby. You know by now that there’s no real version of resting while the kids are awake, and this time, you want to do things differently.
- Your previous birth was long, difficult, surgical, or simply not what you had imagined. You know your healing deserves more time and space than daily life without support tends to allow.
Here's how I can I can support you ↓
Tender beginnings
For almost every mother, the joy and bliss of a baby's arrival comes mixed with much more complex feelings: isolation and loneliness once the initial welcoming phase fades, fatigue from trying to hold it all together, or confusion, anger and shame when she can't.
All of this is often very normal. But what if, instead of pushing through or jumping into fixing mode, the real and raw sensations and changes of this period were held in a symbolic container of deep nurturing, calmness and care? As a mother, you are the center of the (new) family unit, and you deserve to be mothered, too.
It would be a real honour to hold that space for you.
This is what that can look like:
- Healthy, nutrient dense, home-cooked meals & snacks following Ayurvedic principles to support recovery, tissue healing, and lactation
- Somatic practices for nourishment & healing, offered on your terms: warm oil massage (abhyanga), herbal body and foot baths, yoni steam, rebozo and belly binding, private yoga, guided relaxation and meditation. Simple techniques for baby massage are included too.
- Hands-on support in and around the house, light household task to restore a sense of grounding and harmony
- A neutral safe space to reflect on your birth story, and journey thus far, giving voice to your feelings, fears and doubts so they can be processed and liberated.
- Someone to hold the baby, or take care of the other children while you take a nap and recover.

That's exactly what the call is for. Tell me a bit about where you are, what this postpartum period currently looks like or how you'd like it to be, and together we'll find the right fit, whether that's a shorter visit, the full Ceremonial Cocoon, or a personalised package.
FAQ
When do I need to book?
The best time to arrange in-home postpartum support is during your pregnancy, though reaching out after birth works as well. These services are extremely beneficial during the first forty days up to one or two years, but in reality, the need for them can extend across a lifetime.
Whatever season you're in, you're welcome to contact me. We will have a free introduction call and discuss your situation to find the most fitting way forward.
What's included in the price, and how does it work in terms of meals?
Travel expenses are included, as is everything else listed above. Each session is shaped entirely around your wishes and needs. Costs for groceries are excluded, however always agreed upon in advance. I cook in your home, but if needed I can also prepare part of the meal beforehand and bring it with me. Together we'll check what equipment you already have and I'm happy to share examples of menus, content and prices, also depending on the length of the visit, during our introduction call.
I'd love to use this service, but I don't have the financial means. What can I do?
We often think a newborn's arrival has to come with a big price tag, but when unnecessary first (new) purchases are left aside, it's very possible to do this well within a smaller budget and/or by saving some money during your pregnancy. Payment in installments is always an option, just ask. I also hold a very limited number of seva spots, where you only pay the basic costs or even they are funded by the community. These spots are reserved for exceptional circumstances. Reach out and we talk about what's possible.
Is this the same as a midwife or a maternity nurse?
No. This is non-medical support and doesn't replace your midwife, your doctor or your paediatrician. Think of it as sitting alongside them, filling in what clinical care (currently) isn't designed to hold: home-cooked food specifically catered to your needs, real rest and nervous system regulation, your body as it recovers, your household, and you as a whole person that has just been through an incredible shift, not just as someone healing or feeding a baby.
